JC Wayne is a poet, visual artist, outdoor creativity adventure guide, and “cartographer of the unseen” with a mission of building loving worlds through loving words and art. Through her initiative, The Poartry Project, JC creates poetry, art, learning experiences, and positive community gatherings to engage, equip and empower lives as loving world-builders who wield the energy of language and visuals as conscious acts of good. A Certified Creative Aging Teaching Artist, JC shares her innovative approach across all age groups, including teens in Poetry Out Loud, with workshops, enrichment mentoring, creative nature treks, and the ongoing Voicing Art Poetry Reading series. She graduated from Brown and Harvard, but considers her world travel as her true education into wisdom.
